G13 YOUTH TECH EXPO

Participant privacy.

This notice explains the information the NIBS G13 Hackathon Hub collects from people who register themselves as participants, and how it is used for this event.

What we collect

Name and surname, age, nationality, email address, contact number, highest qualification, region, registered team, and selected startup role. We separately record team challenge, project progress and team submissions.

Why we collect it

For event registration, team coordination, attendance/eligibility checks, communication about the hackathon, and verifying details before any certificates are issued. Registration alone does not guarantee certification.

Who can see it

Other team members see only your name, surname and startup role in the team directory. Personal contact, age, nationality and qualification are not displayed in the shared team portal or public Innovation Pulse. Authorised event administrators require access for operational and certification tasks.

Your choices and rights

Use the event organiser or NIBS training facilitator to request correction of inaccurate details, ask about access, object to unnecessary use or request deletion subject to legitimate record-keeping obligations. Certificate records must be verified before being issued.

Participants under 18

The initial online form does not collect personal details from under-18 participants. Please contact an event facilitator to arrange the necessary guardian-authorisation and safe registration process.

Security and retention

Access uses a private member code. Password-equivalent codes are stored as one-way hashes. Participant records reside in the dedicated event database and are not included in public team pages. Retention and disposal are governed by the event organiser's approved information management arrangements; no indefinite retention is intended.

This is a platform privacy notice for the G13 participation workflow, not a statement that a certificate has been awarded or a substitute for the programme organiser's official privacy terms.
